James Prater Music

Since my teenage years, music has not only been a passion for me, but it has been a way of life. I was about 12 years old when I discovered that God had given me the ability to hear music (play by ear).  Soon after, I began singing and writing songs.  During my teenage years, I led the worship services in my dad’s church in Tuscumbia, Alabama, and over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel to various states, doing concerts, singing in churches, rehab centers, shelters for the homeless, tent revivals, street meetings, and more. I have written over 30 songs, and 10 of those songs are featured on my album, HERE I AM, which was produced at Black Box Recording Studio in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma (near Tulsa). My desire is that my music, in collaboration with others who work with me, will bring glory to God and bless people everywhere.
